About the Game

You've won an election in the fictional republic of Freedonia. Now you have eight years to turn that victory into lasting power. Each year, read the briefing, choose one of three decrees and decide where to push it: Parliament, the Court, the Newsroom, the Military, the Internet or the Streets. Your move may be enacted or backfire—and the opposition makes a move of its own.

How It Plays

• Choose a regime to build, then navigate the pressures of elections, public trust and institutional resistance.
• Watch the press, courts, parliament and organisers challenge your plans—and see the consequences of each decree.
• Reach one of twelve endings, from autocratic victories to democratic restoration, and read a debrief grounded in sourced historical cases.

More Than One Term

Every run ends with a front page from the State Gazette. The daily Midterm Coup gives everyone the same cards and opposition to face, with a leaderboard for first attempts. The setting and satire are fictional; the historical parallels invite players to examine how democratic institutions hold—or fail.
